Renée

Renée was born to Lily (née D'Arcy) and Patsy Grant in 1940.  She had no siblings.

​

She spent the first 11/12 years of her life living in the old army barracks on Strand Road in Baldoyle.  They moved from there to 28 St. Anne's Square in Portmarnock.  It was the first time the family had a house with an inside toilet, running water and electricity.

​

She married Michael Flannery on the 3rd of February 1966 and honeymooned in Igls, Austria.  She loved to travel and with Michael by her side, they travelled almost every corner of the world together.

 

She had two girls with Michael, Shirley and Audrey. 

​

Shirley married Ian in 1997 and Audrey married Steven in 2003.

 

She has three amazing grandchildren. 

Ethan (born in 2004), Eva (born in 2006) and Izabella (born in 2010).

​

There were many loved hairy four legged best friends over the years....Scooby, Cindy, Socks, Daisie, D'Arcy and Maisie.

 

Renée's other love in life was golf and her Rush Golf Club played an important role for her.

​

She worked as Chief Gofor in the family business (Michael Flannery Catering Supplies Ltd).

​
